BIO
Dr. Lilia Mitchell is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas. Lilia has been working as a psychotherapist for the past 14 years. Lilia was a family counselor for an Early Childhood Intervention Program for 2 years. Lilia was an adjunct professor for HCC; she taught EDUC 1300 for 2 years. Lilia received her B.S. in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 1992, Master of Education in Counseling in 2004, and Doctorate in Professional Counseling in 2018.
Lilia believes in teamwork and collaboration whether with a student or coworkers. Lilia believes in working together to find direction and accomplish goals. Lilia has experience in working with adult students with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. Lilia uses an integrated approach to counseling using mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and others.

BIO
Ms. Cynthia Castellanos joined the Houston Community College - Counseling and Ability Support Services as a Counselor in October of 2008. She began her career as a Counselor after earning her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Cynthia Castellanos is EMDR certified and is an advocate for the mental health of all HCC students. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
