Homeschool Dual Credit Students

Homeschool students may attend HCC as dual credit students. They must meet the same requirements as dual credit students enrolled in public or private high schools and follow the same process of admittance. In addition, they must document their status as homeschool students, along with all pertinent information required to register for classes at HCC.

Steps after ApplyTexas Application

After you submit your ApplyTexas Application, complete the following steps.

• Schedule your appointment with a Homeschool Dual Credit Pathway Advisor by emailing dualcredit.olhs@hccs.edu.
• During your appointment the following will take place.
  • Read and sign the Dual Credit Homeschool Agreement
  • Complete all Dual Credit Onboarding documents
  • Develop & bring an updated and signed high school transcript as well as a graduation plan. 

Once you have met with your homeschool dual credit pathway advisor, read and signed the Dual Credit Homeschool agreement, you may proceed with the Enrollment and Registration Process.

Academic Dual Credit courses are designed primarily to apply to transfer, Associate of Arts (AA), or Associate of Science (AS) degrees. Core curriculum and foreign language courses are academic.
