Achieving the Dream (ATD)
Achieving the Dream (ATD)
HCC's involvement in Achieving the Dream supports a developing culture of inquiry by providing information on student progress.Achieving the Dream (ATD) is a national initiative dedicated to increasing the success of community college students. HCC has been a part of ATD since it began in 2004. Since 2009, HCC has been recognized as an ATD Leader College—colleges that, according to AtD, have demonstrated commitment to and made progress on four principles: committed leadership, use of evidence to improve programs and services, broad engagement, and systemic institutional improvement. HCC has participated in the ATD movement as one of 15 community colleges selected to receive grants from the Gates Foundation's Developmental Education Initiative (DEI). |
