Whether you need 1 or 101 skilled workers, HCC can meet your needs by partnering to build a Registered Apprenticeship Program. 

As defined by the Department of Labor, a Registered Apprenticeship (RAP) “is a proven model of apprenticeship that has been validated by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency.  RAPs enable and energize more employers to participate and provide them access to larger talent pools that have been trained for entry-level to management positions, thereby meeting industry demands and reducing unemployment rates across the country.”

Registered apprenticeships provide a blend of on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and work-based learning for skills building directly required by the employer.  Registered apprenticeships range in years of completion from one to five years.

HCC works with individual and consortiums of employers to develop the occupational skills standards and learning outcomes required for positions.  HCC manages the registered apprenticeship for employer partners to provide a turnkey solution to workforce development.

In addition to paid work, apprentices attain the necessary skills to launch their careers, college credit and/or a certificate of completion from HCC, and where necessary industry certifications.
