Dear Neighbors,
Welcome to a new academic year at Houston Community College (HCC). As your District II Trustee, I am committed to making sure HCC is prepared to embrace the rapidly changing landscape of higher education and will continue to provide the best in education and workforce training. As the Fall 2024 semester begins, I encourage you to look towards HCC to enhance and complete your credentials. The energy is vibrant on our campuses and, no matter where you are in Houston or even around the world with our Online College, HCC offers a great setting to continue your academic or professional journey.
Doing Business with HCC
The HCC Small Business Development Program provides business opportunities for local small businesses to participate in contracting and procurement at HCC. The program is currently offering free seminars to allow potential participants to learn about the program and help entrepreneurs register to receive bid notifications and procurement opportunities. Texas Success Initiative Assessment Prep Boot Camp
If you are looking to improve your score on the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI), I encourage you to connect with HCC and take advantage of our TSI Prep Boot Camps. These intensive courses in English and Math will help you understand the various exam objectives and how to successfully answer questions. Classes will be held at various times throughout the fall semester, please connect with your local HCC College to find more

STEM at Stafford
The HCC Stafford Campus is the perfect location for those interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) educational opportunities, particularly computer science. This campus offers both Computer Programming and Computer Systems Networking programs with participants gaining the ability to earn an associate degree or a Level 1 or Level 2 certificates, depending on the specific focus. These fields continue to grow and offer great opportunities to either transfer to a four-year university or immediately join the workforce in high-earning occupations.
