Annual HCC Faculty Career Fair draws large turnout

Houston Community College’s recent annual Faculty Career Fair, held at the HCC Southwest College’s West Loop Campus, was a hit.

The event, a joint effort between Instructional Services and Talent Engagement, drew more than 500 job seekers to the campus and they were greeted there by more than 100 HCC department/program faculty and staff members, who represented 96 areas of study.

The fair is held in the late winter/early spring to assist departments with meeting their upcoming adjunct and full-time faculty needs for the following academic year. The event allowed qualified prospective candidates to visit directly with division chairs, deans, program coordinators and others. Credentialing staff was also on site to help candidates understand requirements and areas that they may be able to teach.
